Very early in my natural journey, I knew I would never wear twists in public.  I totally appreciate them on other people - but it is NOT a good look for me.  I'm also not a fan of my scalp showing.  Maybe after I grow some length I'll feel differently.  But for now - I think of twists as rollers and I will always wear my hair loose or out.  So maintaining that defined twist pattern is a challenge

So my hair felt AMAZING throughout each step of the process (pre-poo, shampoo, condition, deep treatment) while it was wet.  It actually felt softer than ever and my curls felt really chunky - especially in the back.  This is the first time I was able to really feel the difference - yea!!!.  But when it dried - I was back where I started.  It didn't look any more moisturized than when I started 4

Today’s my three week napptural anniversary!  And I’ve probably tried way too many products in that short period of time.  It’s been fun mixing and matching products on a whim - but it’s not really helpful if I don’t know which individual products consistently produce the best results.  Generally speaking, I’ve been happy with the way my hair looks.  But I think it is a little dry side (eek!).

It happened during my first week natural but I forgot to mention it in my last post.  I was at a company holiday party, so needless to say there was drinking involved.  As you can imagine, my hair was the talk of the office all week.  People literally didn't recognize me.  They would stare right past me or do double takes.  Not only was it funny - it was actually fun being the mysterious new lady

Sorry I've been missing in action since my BC.  Work has been crazy busy and I flew to Central America yesterday.  I'm here till 12/1 for a volunteer program with Cross Cultural Solutions.
